The following photographs will tell the story of what we do… and why we love it so much! :-)

The scenery en route to Golden…

The next morning, Susan arrives from Alberta with Hogan. Thank you so much Susan!

Hogan does a little “happy dance”!

What a handsome fellow!

The hotel’s resident dog comes to check things out…

“No worries, Uncle Geoff”.

“See”.

“He just thinks I’m the ultimate ‘Cool Dude’ and wants to know what my secret is”.

“I tell him it’s all in the body language”. ;-)

The last part of Hogan’s journey is with Geoff and I in the “Greyhoundmobile”.

Hogan meeting his new Dad, Michael and Michael’s Mom, Maureen and sister, Mona! He is now a proud resident of New Westminster, BC!

Michael is a very happy new greyhound Dad. This adoption has been months in the works. We needed to find him just the right dog and Hogan is it!!! :-)

Hogan meeting Kato and Mini for the first time. Always best to do introductions during a walk on neutral territory.

Hogan being introduced to his new crate. He’ll have a short rest, a bite to eat and then be guided through the rest of his new home.

Maybe just grab a couple of winks first… ;-)

Thank you for sharing our latest adoption with us.

If you can’t swim with the dolphins, come walk with the greyhounds! Please call Sharon at 778-388-3807 to make arrangements to meet up. We have 4 organized walks every weekend along the spectacular Port Moody Inlet Trails!

For information on greyhounds as pets and how to adopt from Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue in BC, please call 778-355-9090 or email me at annieswift@shaw.ca.

Thank you!

Future adopter Leslie has taken some stunning pictures during the walks along the Port Moody Inlet trails! Thank you Leslie, they are breathtaking!

Here is Musie, WOW!

Sharon with Ava, Breezy and Canyon:

and the same hounds here with Leslie:

Tisha also sent me these spectacular photos of her stunning boy. Jakie was adopted last November and is thoroughly enjoying the sunshine we are (finally) experiencing on the west coast!

What a looker!

Geoff and I are doing another mini haul this weekend! We will be bringing one (and possibly 2) lucky hounds to their forever homes in BC. Pictures will be forth coming. ;-)

Sharon and Maureen will be hosting a Meet and Greet at the North Vancouver PetSmart on Saturday, June 11th between 12:30 and 2:30. Please pop by and love on some hounds if you are in the vicinity. The address is 1325 Main St., North Vancouver.

To join one of the 4 organized walks each weekend, please call Sharon at 778-388-3807. To enquire about adopting a Chinook Winds greyhound in BC, please contact me at 778-355-9090 or annieswift@shaw.ca.

Thanks to Sharon, Angharad and Brendan for helping out with the Meet and Greet yesterday! Thanks also to Leslie and her husband Mike for taking some greyt pictures and lovin’ on the hounds! Thank you to Maureen (who recently adopted Pearl and Chase) who came by bearing gifts… tulips and a very generous donation! :-)

Special and heart felt thanks to the stars of the day, our greyhounds, who were so careful to love on all who stopped by!

Just a reminder we will be at the North Vancouver PetSmart, 1325 Main St. North Vancouver, on April 16th between 12:30 and 2:30 PM.

We have decided not to bring BC foster Loffe along. He is just too young, playful and too easily distracted to try and keep him contained in such an active and stimulating environment. He can be viewed by calling me at 778-355-9090 or emailing me at annieswift@shaw.ca. :-)

Here are a few more pics of the stunning boy:

Please do come and meet our darling BC foster Peanut, though. She is such a sweetheart and her only desire in life is to bestow all her love and affection on you. :-)

Precious Photos :-)

Beau was adopted through CWGR by Stephanie and Andrew in Salmon Arm a month ago. Here he is trying to fit in a cat sized bed!

Pearl and Chase were adopted on April Fools Day by Maureen in North Vancouver.

Chase adores his Pearl… here he is trying to hang out in her crate with her! Doesn’t appear she minds one bit. :-)

Pearl and Chase in their new backyard. Isn’t springtime in BC spectacular!

Pearl is absolutely beautiful with her striking markings. She is also the type of hound that loves life and lives it without a care in the world. Here she is just chillin’:

Chase and his toy. Isn’t he proud of himself! ;-)

Pearl doing what she does best… roaching!!!

Sharon and I will be hosting a Meet and Greet at the North Vancouver PetSmart next Saturday, April 16th between 12:30 and 2:30 PM. The address is 1325 Main St in North Van. Unless one of them is adopted by next weekend, we will have BC’s 2 available fosters with us!

Cutie Patootie Peanut is so deserving of her very own forever home. She has been waiting a few months now and would so appreciate someone to devote all her love and attention to. Please consider this darling girl if you are looking for a snuggle buddy.

Loffe will be up on the Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue available dogs page soon. He will be a fabulous companion for someone with the time and energy to put into this giant youngster.

He is magnificent:

endearing:

and unbelievably goofy!
