Last night, Geoff lay with our “little boy” Canyon in the back of the van and lovingly helped him cross the bridge.

CANYON was a very unusual greyhound. In fact, he was quite inappropriate at times! LOL He actually made some of our greyhound friends scream in terror when he bared his teeth in a smile! (Angharad!)

God, how he could make us laugh! We loved him all the more for his lack of decorum!

It was an amazing experience to have been graced with littermates. For although they’d been separated many years, it was uncanny how alike they were!

I only realized it this morning, but Canyon left us exactly 6 months after RIVER.

“CHARLIE” formerly known as Chainsaw, became terminally ill the day after Finn arrived in Lantzville. He was lovingly helped to the bridge the next afternoon by his heartbroken Mom, Lynne. We were all in shock to hear of the passing of this sweet young boy.

Charlie, thank you for sending Finn to your Mom and Dad, when you knew they would need him most.

Sophia, your children will never forget their love for you, nor yours for them…

Lynne and John from Lantzville on Vancouver Island, are the most wonderful people. They have devoted themselves to providing love and security to many rescues. There is an old french saying that my grandmother used to recite to me “he landed with his a$$ in butter” and Finn certainly did!!!

Many, many thanks Lynne and John for opening your hearts and home to our beloved Finn.

Spice (Spicy Wings) is the littermate of the champion racer, Paddy Whacker! He has recently been adopted by Corinne, Brad and Haley in Whiterock. He is such an affectionate and sweet fellow!

Here he is meeting his new Mom, Corinne. She was so happy that she was in tears.

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO OUR GREYT FRIENDS!!!

Noble, who was adopted last month, received a big surprise Remembrance Day weekend! He, along with his new Mom and Dad, picked up a beautiful fawn female from Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue! Sweet-natured and confident, Lanie is the perfect companion for Noble. Congratulations Nicole and Doug! Thank you for introducing greyhounds to Osoyoos, BC!

Scotty, the deerhound/greyhound cross, arrived from S. Korea on November 8th, thanks to Born to Run Global Sighthound Rescue. He is being fostered in Maple Ridge and we hope he becomes a permanent resident of BC!

I received an email from Chilliwack Animal Control stating they had a young, black, female greyhound they wanted help finding a home for. That’s all Chinook Winds long time adopter Patti needed to hear. LOL Kaela is now enjoying life as a treasured princess in Victoria BC with her royal BFF, Willow.

NOBLE, racing name “Breakin Records” (formerly called Zion) was adopted on Thanksgiving weekend by Nicole and Doug in Osoyoos! How fitting! Noble is a sweetheart of a youngster and is thoroughly enjoying learning the ropes as a beloved pet.
