“CANYON” Racing name Stand Backnwatch March 4 2003 – January 17 2012
Last night, Geoff lay with our “little boy” Canyon in the back of the van and lovingly helped him cross the bridge.
CANYON was a very unusual greyhound. In fact, he was quite inappropriate at times! LOL He actually made some of our greyhound friends scream in terror when he bared his teeth in a smile! (Angharad!)
God, how he could make us laugh! We loved him all the more for his lack of decorum!
It was an amazing experience to have been graced with littermates. For although they’d been separated many years, it was uncanny how alike they were!
He was our precious little boy
Our unpredictable kook
and our Chinook Winds BC Poster Boy
I only realized it this morning, but Canyon left us exactly 6 months after RIVER.
How we were blessed to have loved you…

“CHARLIE” formerly known as Chainsaw, became terminally ill the day after Finn arrived in Lantzville. He was lovingly helped to the bridge the next afternoon by his heartbroken Mom, Lynne. We were all in shock to hear of the passing of this sweet young boy.
Charlie, thank you for sending Finn to your Mom and Dad, when you knew they would need him most.
“SOPHIA” Racing name Cruzin Crissi August 13 2006 – December 22 2011
Sophia, your children will never forget their love for you, nor yours for them…

Hi Annie – I am so sorry to see you lost another one. I’m sure I met him once when I walked with Sharon. I live in Calgary and when I come to Vancouver in May with my dogs, I meet up with the Port Moody Crew.
Your tribute and pictures were lovely. Canyon’s smile could certainly scare the pants off anybody who didn’t know better…Do you belong to Greytalk? Your pictures are so beautiful and capture your dogs’ personality so aptly, I know people on Greytalk would love to see them.
All the best to you in this difficult time. Margo
Beautiful tribute (isn’t it just freaky how totally we are absorbed we are with this breed,) Now I will go dry my eyes and take my one and my retirement job three greyhounds for their afternoon walk.
We are Facebook friends with Bully n Nelson. We were so sorry to hear about Canyon’s passing. His photo caught my eye and I thought “what a beautiful dog”. After reading about him, I realized why I was so drawn to him. My dog, Button, was also fathered by Castor Troy and looks much like him. Her racing name was Coldwater Lizzy. She also is an unusual dog – super high energy even at age 9, catches tennis balls and footballs and is a barker. You can see pictures of her on my Facebook page. So sorry for your loss. It is clear you bring so much to the greyhounds you encounter.
