Hi friends,
At the crack of dawn tomorrow, Geoff and I and Silver Lee will head out for Golden. We will certainly miss our foster girl… we absolutely adore her. But, there is a couple who have been admiring her for a long time in Alberta and no available hound there has touched their hearts like she has. Once they meet her they will understand why… she is such a love with her people! She also “roaches” with complete abandon, as indicated in her picture below!!!
At around 5PM, Leah will meet us at our hotel with the 4 new BC dogs… 3 of which already have homes and very excited new owners awaiting them! We will all spend the night in a Golden hotel room (did I mention that 3 of these hounds are not yet home acclimated!
) and head out early Saturday morning.
On the way back, we hope to meet up briefly with Jennie (a fellow Chinook Winds adopter and home visit volunteer) and her hound Cindy, in Blind Bay for a doggie photo shoot!
The next stop will be Tanya’s home in Salmon Arm. She is adopting her first greyhound… the very handsome, brindle youngster, Tony! Sorry no picture yet, we’ll have to wait a few days.
Then it will be non stop back to Port Moody, where new owners Marilyn and John will be waiting excitedly for their first greyhounds… Spy (the elegant black boy) and Rose (the brindle beauty).
…. and Shannon and Justin will be greeting their new foster… Dancer!
Dancer will be available for adoption through Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue. She is reputed to be a ray of sunshine and loved by all who meet her. She is not cat friendly but loves everyone else! For information on adopting Dancer or any other greyhound available through Chinook Winds, please call Annie at 778-355-9090. Thank you!
