January 30th: Robin and Isabelle, thank you for coming all the way from West Van to meet up with the hounds, yesterday! Robin and her daughter Isabelle, took turns walking Sharon’s Ava. Sharon and Leah said that Isabelle was super with all the dogs and was as excited as her Mom at the prospect of fostering or adopting a greyhound in the future! 
Our fabulous and exclusive coat designer Lisa, and her friend Anita, also joined the group, with Lisa’s brindle beauty, Ruby. Lisa is in the process of sewing one-of-a-kind designer raincoats for all of our greyhounds! When they are completed, we will post a group picture. If you need a new waterproof winter or spring/fall coat for your hound, Lisa’s coats are exceptional AND she donates $10 to Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue for each coat she makes! January 31st: No pictures were taken today I’m afraid… our resident photographer, my DH Geoff, was away on a course. Maybe that’s just as well, it started raining just as we began our walk and by the end, we looked like drowned rats.
We welcomed our newest member, Lynn and Chris’ new addition, foster “Duncan” (a gorgeous, pale blond, polar bear pawed, 3 1/2 year old golden retriever). Despite being almost blind, Duncan was a joyous and confident boy! He loved being around the hounds and they thought he was pretty darn cute, too. Lynn and Chris also had their elegant older lady Flirt (love that name!) and collie Max along, so we had 11 dogs in our group! Flirt, as always, did the whole walk with a huge grin on her face. She loves being around her own kind… River in particular. 
We saw ”Bike Guy” , the park icon, as we were puttering along on the lower trail. He made us laugh as usual, when he refused to walk one of our hounds because “he only had so much time to do what he had to do!”. Imagine insinuating that our hounds were not fast enough for him! HA!
